Tomorrow the heels play virginia on the road. I think we should dominate them pretty well. However, Virginia always seems to give us problems, both in football and basketball. Also, after the WF and BC games, I don't want to say wtih any certainty how our guys are going to look. Hopefully, they'll play defense with a fire and work on doing all the little things. We'll see...

Question; when do we play Clemson, and do they have any chance seeing as how they are ranked much higher than usual this year? I ask because I am a SC resident and my brother is now a Clemson student and I don't want to lose to them.

Yeah, we play them at home the 21st of January. Clemson is very good this year, possibly better then last year when they almost beat us twice. Oliver Purnell is doing amazing things with their program. They're big, athletic, and now really well coached. Hopefully, we'll keep the streak alive this year. GO HEELS! (And all the other gamecocks on here, I'm not talking up clemson, just telling it how it is).

Here's Roy's quote to the fans. They need us now, when we're down, not when we're up:
"Things aren't so smooth - right now is when we need you. We don't need somebody over there cheering when we're up 35. Right now is when we need you. Who knows, the chicken or the egg - do our kids go a little harder on the defensive end because the crowd starts cheering or does the crowd start cheering because the kids go a little harder? So I think it's a two-way street and let's all get in there and see what we can do." -Roy Williams

Defensive Struggles: North Carolina has shot below 30 percent in the second half of both conference losses this season, but it appears as though Virginia’s defense may provide the perfect remedy, as the Cavaliers currently reside in the cellar of the ACC in field goal percentage defense, allowing their opponents to shoot 42.1 percent from the floor. Leitao’s club also ranks 10th in steals (6.4) and 11th in blocked shots (4.3).

Hey, here's a good article about tonight's game. I think Virginia's approach is correct, our guys should be coming out looking at this game as a "must win." Should be interesting to see how Davis does in a big environment where the hostility will be focused a lot on him. Everyone remember when Sean May played at Indiana? I'm sure it won't be near as bad, but it should be interesting.

Two great steals so far, one for Lawson, one for Green. Awesome pass by Lawson on that first steal.

Nice 7 footer floater for Ed Davis. Anyone else notice the boos when he shot?

We're missing some pretty easy shots and still not doing too badly. The ridiculously low FG% are what really cost us our two losses.
As a side note, I think Tyler started tonight only 24 points away from passing Laettner on the all-time points list.

I like how the Virginia crowd didn't understand that wasn't a double dribble.

Ha, I guess they didn't like that. Wayne is looking a lot more animated tonight.

Fashion alert: ed davis is not wearing a tshirt under his jersey and tyler has a frosh-style buzz cut. And I have no idea what graves has on his leg.
