Hawks QB Jackson chooses Tar Heels
SEFFNER — Armwood senior quarterback Mywan Jackson joined one of the nation's top recruiting classes Thursday when he orally committed to North Carolina, where he will play with close friend and teammate Angelo Hadley.
Jackson, who chose the Tar Heels over Louisville and Michigan, accounted for more than 2,300 yards of offense and 33 total touchdowns his senior season. North Carolina is looking at him at cornerback and slot receiver and he might get the chance to return punts as a freshman, Hawks coach Sean Callahan said.
"I'm really happy with where he's going," Callahan said. "He's with some good people. He's in a position where he'll be able to compete for playing time right away."
Rest of story...
