North Carolina receiver Hakeem Nicks plans to skip his final season and enter the NFL draft.

After that game he put up in the Bowl, this is no surprise. I would say he'll go in the 3rd round or so.

I agree that he'll go around 3rd round. He'd be smart to stay. He could easily move up to 1st round territory with steady play next season.

On top of that, this is a HUGE blow to the Tar Heels. The leading returning receiver is Tailback Shaun Draughn and he only had 16 catches for 81 yards.

Greg Little is the leading returning Wide Receiver, but again, only 11 catches for 146 yards.

I think Davis needs to make talking Hakeem into staying priority #1. It would be a win/win for all parties.

A friend of mine is a coach at Mauldin High he said the wr coach from UNC came in the other day to visit with UNC commit Josh Mckie. He said he told Nicks to leave after a performance like that, but I think it still depends on the combine. I say second round or early third. Maybe they are trying to make some room, don't they have like 33 commitments right now?
